Using our reasoning skills

As part of the maths curriculum we have been practising and refining our reasoning skills. We worked in groups to explore a range of statements to prove if they were sometimes, always or never true.

We read the statements and then we wrote and solved calculations to show our understanding and to prove our ideas. We discovered that we could do this with bigger and smaller numbers.  Also, it gave us an opportunity to practise using different methods and to explore number. We worked really well together and it meant that we really had to think about how numbers relate to each other.
