Our literacy work is based around ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.’ We have written our own parts of the story. We had to think carefully about the language we used because we wanted our writing to be exciting for a person to read.
Some children used a thesaurus to improve their writing; to make their vocabulary choices more exciting. Others used a dictionary to check spellings.
